New Fluff Love

Friends, I am in love. With new fluff! My Micro-man has been wearing some of the same cloth diapers from Little, meaning they went through Little, Mini, and now Micro! Listen, cloth diapers are the bomb when it comes to saving money, but having them go through THREE bums over six years is nothing short of a miracle. I was getting the itch (it is a true addiction I swear) to buy more colorful diaper fluff to replace some of the more worn pockets and covers, and well, finances are as tight as ever (right??) so I was having a hard time deciding to buy more of the same or to try a more affordable option that I had been giving an interested side-eye at for some time. I loved my more expensive diapers (note: expensive does not always mean good! Be careful and do your research before buying), settling for the uber cheap knock-offs (think one-way ticket from China through Ebay) was not happening, so I put myself on the waiting list to be notified when the affordable but quality diapers would be back in stock. Thankfully I didn’t have to wait too long as a good friend was downsizing her fluff collection after having potty trained her youngest and her stash was chock full of the ones I’ve been wanting to try ~score!!

I bought a handful off of her and put them to the test immediately. Love. LOVE. They are Diaper Rite, the in-house brand for Diaper Junction. “Diaper Rite products, brought to you by Diaper Junction, are an inexpensive choice for parents who want best quality cloth diapers at a reasonable price. Diaper Rite brand products are a great way to add to or build up your cloth diaper stash!”  I couldn’t have said it better myself Diaper Junction! They are almost half the cost of other well known diapers and they ROCK. Word of advice, they sell out QUICK! Stash the cash, get on the waiting list if there is one, and be ready to pounce 🙂

PS… The true test? Micro’s bum is happy, therefore Micro is happy

My Newest Obsession

We’ve cloth diapered from the minute our first little bean was big enough to fit them (she was preemie size and I couldn’t bring myself to buy teeny tiny cloth diapers for at most a month). I LOVE them. They ARE addictive. To date we have saved approximately $6000 by opting to use cloth (yes, that includes the cost of washing…). The only downside is that eventually they wear out. However, considering we’ve used some for almost 4 years, I’m ok with buying a few new.

The first thing that has worn out on us has been the micro terry inserts. Even after stripping them, there really is just so much they can handle before giving up the ghost. Since I prefer covers and inserts/prefolds to pockets, I’ve decided to replace them with these little gems:

These are bamboo terry flats by Sustainablebabyish. These little wonders come in four sizes (we buy medium since it covers the range my kids stay in the longest) and have three fluffy glorious absorbent layers of bamboo terry. When I first tried one on my super pee-er 18 month old, I was absolutely shocked at how much it held and how dry his skin felt. LOVE AT FIRST PEE. We’re in the process of replacing our micro terry and bird’s eye with these (they are a bit pricey at $10 each) and I can’t wait until we can diaper solely with bamboo.

Give these gems a try, you WILL be impressed! I buy 99% of our cloth diapers and accessories from I really can’t say enough good things about this store. Yes, this is an affliate link, use it or go straight to, I don’t care because you will fall in love with these at first pee too 🙂

Whhhaaat? It’s been how long?

So, I’m a blogger in my heart, truly, I am! Now to transpose that to action 🙂

This Friday, as I pulled up in front of the house after work, I noticed a package on the porch. Extreme giddiness shortly ensued when I realized it was from! B’s new diapers were here!! Yes, I do get THAT excited over cloth dipes. I decided to have an affair on my beloved FuzzyBunz and try out a couple Flips. Can I just say the Flip diaper is AWESOME?!?! Finally, a shell that I can use any insert in my stash and NO LEAKS! I love that I can just wipe out the shell, pop in a new insert (thus far I have tried prefolds and some small FB inserts, tomorrow I will try GroBaby inserts). The multiple snap settings are fabu 🙂 Will my affair turn longterm? I hope so, but FB will always be my first love 🙂

So what cloth diapers do you use AND love?
